I am going to write you about a man who I admire most, his
name is Benigno Malo, he was born in 1807 and he died on May 2,
1870. He was a dominant man. He always had passion for progress.
He wanted to be and was a man of action, a practical man, an indefatigable
worker, and he looked for his own good and for that of others.
In addition to being a writer, he was a university writer, and
wrote educational literature. As a journalist he preferred economic
issues, as an editor, he wrote always for decentralization as
the only formula for the general material he preferred the useful
arts, reserving the fine perhaps premature, he se forth in beautiful
phrases and rounded speech. A curious example of an untiring preacher
of habit and noble ones, and he wrote such fine poetry, that he
excelled in the art of feeling and expressing what is thought
and felt.
In additon to the qualities mentioned, Benigno Malo showed himself
to be a worthy man in his treatment of his fellow man and his
truly christian humility in which he hid his rightful superiority.
Modesty is always a sign of a lofty spirit. arrogance reveals
the unhappy spirit rebellious against the decrees of the Almighty.
Arrogance fills the empty soul. There is a famous state school
in cuenca called "Benigno Malo", It is the oldest school
in the city.

Jefferson Perez is a very special guy. He is not proud of
himself, he feels proud of his country and of Ecuadorians, who
supported him every moment.
We think Jefferson is a model of effort and sacrifice, in every
way. Now Jefferson is working hard helping athletes that give
part of their lives to put the name of Ecuador very high in the
world.

Jefferson Perez is a well known runner who stands out because
of his
discipline. He has won a gold medal in the Olimpic Games in 1998.
He showed his effort and hard work to reach his goals, without leaving
his personal life and his family behind.

The person I admire most in my country is Daniel Roura he was
born in Cuenca.
He is 2O years old and is a famous cyclist in my country. He
recently went to Miami for a tournament . I admire him because of
the effort
and hard work he has done since he was very small to reach his goals
,
doing what he likes, cycling. It is because of this that now he
is one of
the 3 best sportmen of my country.

The person I admire most in my country is Oswaldo
Guayasamin. He was a very famous painter of Ecuador and
of Iberia, so he was called "The Iberian Painter". He
was born in Quito on July 6, 1919. He was a master on
indigenismo. Concerned with his country's landscape
and its people, especially the working class,
Guayasamin's images are poignant and sensitive and
take on the iconic aspects of traditional religious
subjects. He always sought to emphasize the
disadvantaged situation of the poor oppressed people
of Ecuador. His paintings were a tribute to the
ethnic mixes that populate Ecuador and a comment on the
cruelty of life.

The person I admire most in my country is our ninteenth president,
Luis
Cordero Crespo. He was born in Deleg that is a town near Cuenca,
on April 6,
1833, and then he lived and studied in Cuenca, I admire him not
only becuase
he was a good president but also because he was a poet, he belonged
to the
" Academia Ecuatoriana de la lengua" which is a language
academy, he liked
nature, he was also named and crowned Cuenca's national poet,he
was very
religious, calm and a good man, and over all these things he put
Cuenca very
high, due to his culture. He made some mistakes in his period
of presidency
but he is known for trying to give education to all the people
of Ecuador
from the poor to the rich. He started and built one of the
high schools of Cuenca that is called " San Jose, la Salle".
He died on
January 30,1912 in Cuenca.
I really admire him for his culture, and because he thought that
education is one of the most important things in a person's life.

The persons I admire most are my parents.
I think that they are the best gift that the Lord could give to
me. They are
very sweet, and hard working, but they have a hard temper too.
Sometimes their temper disturbs me and I feel very bad and angry,
but in the end
we always get to be happy and friendly.
They always give me advice and they help me so that I continue ahead.
They want the best for me, however I sometimes make mistakes, I
think that
they not always understand me, but they never leave me alone.

I admire Nicolas Lapenti because he is an excellent
tennis player and also because, he has put Ecuador in
a very high position in the world. What I most like
about him is that he learns from his mistakes when he
loses and when he wins, he is humble.
