Fragments of session 8 - Leuven
Look into the future

| What will my life be like in 10 years'
time ? I imagine I will still be working as a language teacher in
Heverlee, because we can retire at the age of 58 the earliest. I'll
be 50 by then, so I'll have a number of years still ahead of me.
Whether my husband will still be working as a headmaster at his
school, I don't know because he always says he can't do this job
until he 'll be able to retire. I don't think one of my children
will be married by then but I do see my three eldest sons studying
at the university or at a school for higher education. I think my
eldest son Wim will have become an archaelogist or a history teacher
or something like that because that's where his interest lies. The
second - Jan - will be doing something with sports, I guess and
the third, Bert, will have chosen to become a kind of architect
(he likes drawing plans). Pieter will still be at the same school
where he is now and the youngest, Bram, will be in his second year
of secondary education then. I hope by then our house will be finished
entirely. I imagine I'll still be driving a car, I'll still have
to go shopping and do the household, so nothing will have changed
in those fields. But I do think the world around us may have changed.
People will probably try to work less and relax more or at least
take more time to communicate with each other. I also think computers
will be omni-present in our society. As far as the world as a whole
is concerned, I hope pollution will have been reduced thanks to
all kinds of industrial innovations . I also hope war will no longer
exist, but I fear that's utopia!

I don't really have plans for the future , I'm a person who
lives in the present , not in
the future . of course, I have a lot of dreams , I know I can't
realise them all, but I want to dream my dreams... I have no idea
about what kind of profession I want to do, but now I play theatre
and I want to keep on playing it.

I think I'll have become an engineer by then. I'll have studied
for 5 years to become a computer engineer. I may be working in a
firm that develops computer software. When I'm 26 I'll be married
and I may have 2 children.

I don't think I'll be married by then, because I'll be only 26
and probably still studying.
I'm going to live in an apartment in the beginning, and i'll save
some money to buy a bigger house when I become 30 or so. If I' have
a child I hope it will be a boy.

When I was a little boy I always wanted to be a pilot, but now
when I see how difficult it is to find a job as a pilot, I have
dropped the idea. So I've been thinking in the direction of physiotherapist,
but then I heard that there were too much physiotherapist in Belgium,
so now I think I'll be a civil engineer.

In about 10 years' time, I hope to have a nice husband and 2
children (number 3 and number 4 are on their way!). I also hope
to live in another country than Belgium because I hate the weather
and the temperature here. But if my husband wants to stay in Belgium,
I will be living in the house where I live now, because I like my
house.

I don't know if I'm still alive in 10 years' time because I sometimes
dream that I will die young. But I hope I will still be there.

In the near future, I want to go to the university and study
criminology or study to be a pediatrician I hope to work with children
later, either in an institution, or on the streets, helping kids
who are in trouble out, or either in a hospital. I love kids, later,
I want to have 3 or 4. My husband will be the best dad you can imagine.
And when he looks good, it's even better.
I'd like to have a house in a quite area, near
a park or something.I would like the house to be made with lots
of wood, because I believe wood makes a house cosy. And it will
have a big garden.

I think kids won't have to go to school anymore, because they'll
learn everything by computer at home !

In 10 years time I hope to be a famous singer. Maybe something
like the singer of 'within temptation'. She's a woman who can sing
very high, like me. I will be married (I hope) and I hope to have
children some day... But I don't know if I would have enough time
to spend with them, because of my career. I don't often dream about
the future...

I think I will live in leuven or at the sea together with
my boyfriend.
My boyfriend will love music and sports.
I will be a photographer or I will do something with cameras.
I will still be dancing because I love it.
I will not be married and have children at that age cause that's
too early
